How is DTCare involved in America’s Favorite Pet?
DTCare is a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to assisting corporations, foundations, and individuals make a positive impact in the world. As DTCare is registered to solicit donations nationwide, we are able to accept donations from U.S. donors in all 50 states and then subsequently grant the funds to select, vetted charities that may not have the bandwidth to get registered themselves. For the America’s Favorite Pet 2023 competition, DTCare will receive 100% of the donations and we selected the PAWS (Progressive Animal Welfare Society) to be our designated grantee.
Where does the competition money go?
The donation to PAWS will come from votes purchased through the competition. 100% of donations raised from votes purchased during the America's Favorite Pet 2023 competition will go directly to DTCare, which will subsequently grant the donation (minus Competition fees/costs and a nominal percentage (1%) retained by DTCare), to PAWS at the end of the competition. The donation will help support the PAWS mission to help cats, dogs, and wild animals thrive in happy, healthy homes or in their natural habitats.
How is the winner selected?
