We Propel Youth Today for Better Opportunities Tomorrow

The South African employment landscape is unstable, leaving new graduates with few work opportunities and those unable to finish school with limited options. Ensuring disadvantaged youth have access to quality education is the first step towards a brighter future, but work opportunities are still at an all-time low and a prevalent challenge youth face. An incomplete education lessens one's odds of employment, and we aim to change that reality for youth in South Africa. DTCare is working to empower South African children and youth through quality education, training, and internship opportunities. DTCare’s education sponsorship program enables and equips youth for the challenges they are likely to face after school.

Our education sponsorship program is comprehensive, combining a detailed educational background evaluation, study visa advising, school enrollment support, tutoring, and internship opportunities, to help 19 children and youth reach their full potential and become intellectually independent and self-sufficient members of society. DTCare goes beyond sponsoring youth education; we provide an extensive support network to fill educational gaps and help students excel. DTCare works closely with parents, schools, tutors, and mentors to support the youth in our program in and outside school. We provide extensive resources and guidance to promote learning and success, and ultimately, help children and youth gain a foothold in key industries that will enable them to bring about positive change within their communities. DTCare proudly joins forces with highly-rated schools, academic institutions, and companies in South Africa to ensure that the children and youth in our sponsorship program receive quality education and internship opportunities.

Empowering South African Youth with Quality Education and Opportunities for Success

DTCare is committed to improving racial and socioeconomic equality through formal education and training sponsorship to prepare South African youth for a more sustainable future. In light of our commitment to promote equity, DTCare strives to conserve African heritage while working alongside renowned multidisciplinary artist Ralph Ziman and founder of Annointed Hands traditional African beading artist, Thenjiwe Chinedo.

Formal education is still inaccessible for too many underprivileged South African and Zimbabwean children. We aim to bridge the access and financial barriers that impede a complete education experience and often prevent children from reaching their full potential.

The education sponsorship program provides South African and Zimbabwean youth the opportunity to reach the tertiary education level at an institution that caters to future aspirations. A good education also opens up a door to post-school opportunities they would not have had otherwise.

DTSpark is a South African registered microfinancing company that offers bespoke, direct microfinance solutions to further support the development and upliftment of the underprivileged through the financing of small businesses.

DTSpark's borrower portfolio is limited to individuals and collectives which have a direct influence on the arts, environment (including agriculture and livestock), social justice, female empowerment, and youth employment.

The Casspir Project is an unprecedented and multifaceted undertaking from South African film director, Ralph Ziman.

The restored and refitted Casspir vehicle, its surfaces fully covered in elaborate, brightly-colored panels of glass beadwork, arrayed in traditional patterns was completed by artisans from Zimbabwe and the Mpumalanga province of South Africa, including women of the Ndebele tribe, known for their craftsmanship.

Following the critically acclaimed CASSPIR Project, South African artist and director, Ralph Ziman, is taking on a multifaceted project involving a MiG-21.

DTCare currently is and has been logistically supporting the MiG-21 Project, not only with the procurement of the aircraft itself, but all associated logistics, parts, all forms of fabrication in promotion of South African cultural and historical significance.

DTCare is committed to working towards a more sustainable future and carbon economy. Several of DTCare’s Education Program students are interested in careers in greener industries specializing in- and promoting sustainability.

The urgency for enhanced sustainability on a global scale is highlighted through the unprecedented natural disasters the world has faced the past few years, from wild fires ravaging Canada and parts of the United States to the melting ice caps in the Arctic. A carbon economy is a feasible solution to significantly reduce anthropogenic emissions on a large scale and the expansion of sustainable industries is a measure that will help world’s economies to decarbonize.
