How is DTCare involved in Cosplay Star?
DTCare is a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to assisting corporations, foundations, and individuals make a positive impact in the world. As DTCare is registered to solicit donations nationwide, we are able to accept donations from U.S. donors in all 50 states and then subsequently grant the funds to select, vetted charities that may not have the bandwidth to get registered themselves. For the Cosplay Star competition, DTCare will receive 100% of the donations and we selected Starlight Children’s Foundation to be our designated grantee.
Where does the competition money go?
The donation to Starlight Children’s Foundation will come from votes purchased through the Competition. 100% of donations raised from votes purchased during the Cosplay Star Competition will go directly to DTCare, which will subsequently grant the donation (minus Competition fees/costs and a nominal percentage (1%) retained by DTCare), to Starlight Children’s Foundation at the end of the competition. The donation will help support the foundation’s mission to help provide happiness to severely ill children and their families during times of hardship.
