The Greatest Baker Competition is powered by our partner, Colossal.
DTCare, a U.S. 501(c)(3) public charity, has joined forces with Colossal Management, LLC, a for-profit professional fundraiser, to run Greatest Baker as a fundraising campaign. Colossal operates the Competition, while DTCare receives and distributes the donation funds (minus fees, costs, etc.) to the Designated Grantee after the Competition concludes. How is DTCare involved in the Greatest Baker?

DTCare is a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to assisting corporations, foundations, and individuals make a positive impact in the world. As DTCare is registered to solicit donations nationwide, we are able to accept donations from U.S. donors in all 50 states and then subsequently grant the funds to select, vetted charities that align with DTCare’s mission, goals, and how we set out to make a difference across the globe. For the Greatest Baker Competition, DTCare will receive all of the donations, and we have selected the Andrew McDonough Be Positive Foundation as our designated grantee.

Where does the competition money go?

Donations raised from votes by donation cast during this Competition go directly to DTCare, which will subsequently grant the donations, minus Competition fees (36.5%) and variable costs (including payment processing fees, operating and prize costs, etc., not to exceed 13.5%), which shall include a nominal percentage (1%) retained by DTCare, to the Designated Grantee. DTCare retains exclusive custody and control over all funds raised during the Competition.

DTCare immediately receives donations upon a vote by donation being cast. DTCare then distributes the donations to the Designated Grantee (minus fees, costs, etc.) within thirty (30) days after the conclusion of the Competition. Detailed information available on the Competition Rules page here.
