The Inked Originals Competition is a genuine opportunity for one person with unique and original body art to be featured in the pages of Inked Magazine and take home $20,000. The Inked Originals competition is seeking real people who wear their story on their sleeve. All shapes, all sizes, all colors—and all ink. From calf to chest piece and necklace to mural, Inked Originals offers the opportunity to show off unique body art in the pages of Inked Magazine and take home $20,000. Inked Originals is proud to support The New Freedom Project in their mission to mentor inmates during the reentry process through peer-to-peer relationships, vocational training, and services that protect the community and inspire dignity by empowering the innate goodness in every human being.

How is DTCare involved in Inked Originals?

DTCare is a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to assisting corporations, foundations, and individuals make a positive impact in the world. As DTCare is registered to solicit donations nationwide, we are able to accept donations from U.S. donors in all 50 states and then subsequently grant the funds to select, vetted charities that may not have the bandwidth to get registered themselves. For the Inked Originals Competition, DTCare will receive 100% of the donations, and we selected The New Freedom Project to be our designated grantee.

Where does the competition money go?

The donation to The New Freedom Project will come from votes purchased through the competition. 100% of donations raised from votes purchased during the Inked Originals Competition will go directly to DTCare, which will subsequently grant the donation (minus competition fees/costs and a nominal percentage (1%) retained by DTCare), to The New Freedom Project at the end of the competition. The donation will help support the organization’s mission to mentor inmates during the reentry process through peer-to-peer relationships, vocational training, and services that protect the community and inspire dignity by empowering the innate goodness in every human being.
